Recovery underpins everything! Apply a stress/stimulus (training session), then allow the body time to adapt to a higher state of fitness in order to handle the same workload next time with greater ease, and repeat the process (until it's time to change the stimulus). It's that simple!

Age is NOT a barrier!
Every human has an incredible genetic potential (a gift) to excel mentally and physically. Once you unlock the door to allow your DNA to blossom, by cementing the fundamental principles I coach, it is amazing just how quickly and easily you can surpass even your own expectations.
My entire life I've had people who were my age today (and younger) tell me that I'd never keep going in good health and with high levels of drive and fitness. How wrong are they! Today (in my 40s) I am fitter and healthier than I've ever been, with zero intention of stopping.
Across the world there are folk gaining more knowledge and implementing better health choices, standing on podiums later and later in life. Our state of Health is a personal choice, embrace it and prove the doubters wrong, and see for yourself just what you ARE capable of!
Specificity in training is the term used to describe the distinct similarities that must be incorporated into your training regime that closely resemble the goal/race that you are ultimately training for. This is particularly important as the event/goal draws nearer, and you need to be at your peak level of fitness at the right time.
We can effectively plan our training over the short, medium, and the longer-term, in order to achieve our goals. Depending on the final destination (and past/current state of health) the runway will look different for one person, than it will for someone else. The fundamental principles of training/periodisation, however, will be the same.
